Let’s Go Brandon (Tattered Flag)

Political statements can be as humorous as they are instructive. In this case, a NBC sportscaster Kelli Stavast was interviewing NASCAR winner Brandon Brown on October 2, 2021 at the Talladega Speedway. The crowd was changing “F**k Joe Biden”, and Stavast either misheard the chant or tried to cover it up. Instead, she said, “… you can hear the chants from the crowd: Let’s Go Brandon.” And so, a synonym for the crude chant was born.
